51 Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours, positivity rate now 7.46%

According to a press release by the Directorate General of Health Services, 51 people were killed by Covid-19 between 8am and 8am this morning. 26931 Covid-19-related deaths have been recorded in the country, with a death rate of 1.76 percent. The release said that at least 1,871 new infections occurred during this period. This brings the total number of infected people to 15,30.413. The current positivity rate for the country is 7.46 percent, while it stands at 16.55 percent. In the span of 24 hours, 25,074 samples from across the country were tested. During this period, at least 3,586 Covid-19-affected patients were able to recover. The number of recoveries is now at 14,78,821 with a recovery rate of 96.63 percent. 22 of the 51 people who died were men, 29 were women. One was between 11-20, three were between 21-30, three were between 31-40, seven were between 41-50, seven were between 41-50, eighteen between 51-60, and 22 of them were over 60, according to the release. http://kom
